Jesus is unable to do any miracles in Nazareth because of the people’s lack of faith. He sends his apostles out on a mission, instructing them to take nothing with them but a staff. They perform miracles and heal the sick. John the Baptist is killed, and when Jesus hears about it, he withdraws to a lonely place to grieve and pray. The apostles return and tell him about all that they have done, and Jesus goes with them to teach and heal more people.
