Audio Bible Contests (ABC)

Audio Bible Contest is an interactive, online Bible contest hosted with the help of digital platforms (Bible app, Zoom, Menti.com etc.) with the aim to enhance Scripture engagement in local Christian communities. Participants will have to download the Bible app shared by FCBH Coordinator to learn the books assigned for the quiz. During the interactive quiz, questions will be presented by the Quiz Master through menti.com in text, audio and video formats and the winners will be awarded prizes by the organizers.
- Implementation Partner – There should be a willing partner to implement the contest in each language where Audio Bible and LUMO Gospel Films is available. (Check here)
- Coordinator/Quiz Master : There should be a Coordinator from Implementation Partner’s end who could host the event. FCBH Regional Coordinator could be the Quiz Master if the contest is in a major language. If it’s a minority language, then partner needs to provide a Quiz Master for the event.
- Books : Any NT Books could be selected by Partner.
- (preferred 1 Gospel portion, at least 10 chapters (for video questions) + 1 or 2 other books)
- Format : Audio (one word), Video (one word/sentence) and Text (multiple choice/one word/one sentence/long answers).
- Contest Model : Virtual contest (all participants and Quiz Master attending a Zoom meeting, answering through phone/laptop) or Hybrid contest (all participants and Quiz Master being present in a physical location, answering through phone/laptop).
- Branding : All events sponsored by FCBH should include the logos of FCBH and Bible.is (as well as partner logos) and mention “powered by Bible.is” below the event title in all flyers/posters/exhibits/promo videos/digital display platforms.
Partner's Responsibility
- Select Books from NT for the event (preferred 1 Gospel portion (for video) + 1 or 2 other books)
- Create Question Bank with answers in English & vernacular language for the ABC event
- Questions should use 3 Bible formats – Audio/Text/Video
- Questions to be added to Menti.com and create Quiz for the event.
- Question Bank to be shared with FCBH (both languages)
- Record videos as necessary for the event
- Decide on requirements of participants/Rules & Regulations of the contest
- Event Registration and Follow up with Registrants
- Event planning & implementation – Host the event/Results Tabulation/Gifts for winners
- Quiz Event Structure / Rounds
- Multiple rounds if there are more than 100+ registered participants.
- Audio and Video Questions are mandatory in all rounds.
- There should be some long answer questions in the Final Round.
- Event Report with analytics, suggestions/feedback from participants as well as partners.
Process/Technology/Social Media/Promotions
- Partners will have to set up a Registration mechanism and do follow up with registered participants.
- FCBH Regional Coordinator could be the Quiz Master for the event (Menti.com will be used)
- Partners could use Zoom or other platforms (or do it as a physical event).
- The event could be live streamed on Facebook/Youtube so as to get more visibility to the event. (Partner’s pages). Promo videos of Bible.is and partners to be displayed within the event video.
- The Partner/Organizer will have to distribute the gifts to the winners and provide a report to FCBH.
- Prize distribution ceremony could be done as a separate event so as to get more visibility to the event.
Budget/Prizes
FCBH South Asia will sponsor 50% of the total prizes for the event provided the partner is sponsoring the remaining 50% (or providing an in-kind contribution for the event such as providing a meeting hall, meals/snacks for the event, follow up with participants etc.). No additional funds will be provided for other expenses incurred by the organizers (food, travel, internet or other renumeration). The prize money will be wired to the partner after conducting the event, based on FCBH coordinator’s confirmation on number of participants and report. The event flyer needs to be attached along with the proposal. (at least 3 weeks before the event.) Prizes will be decided based on the number of participants and publicity/visibility for the event. Partner can split the total prize money into multiple prizes (eg. First Prize, Second Prize, Third Prize, Consolation Prizes etc.). For more information about prize money, please talk with the respective FCBH Regional Coordinator.
