We see 70% of the people in the church are unlearned and become involved in hearing God’s Word. Our Bible listening program is based on Romans 10:17 – Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God. We do this to encourage and nurture regular listening of the Bible in audio form.
The Device

We have three different audio bibles in various size and a projector which we give out for free of cost. The S50 and S25 are to be used for the Bible Listening Group programs, the E10 is for Family Through Bible and the projector is for watching groups.

Ways to Use it – You can use these devices in a group setup in Churches, schools, hospitals, clinics, orphanages, prisons, rehab centres and so on.

4 Pillars

When it comes to the Bible Listening Group program, we focus on the 4 pillars.

  1. Pillar 1 is all about LISTENING THE BIBLE,
  2. Pillar 2 is that you listen to the bible IN A GROUP.
  3. The 3rd pillar is that we emphasis on having meaningful DISCUSSION in the group.
  4. The 4th pillar is having a regular FOLLOW-UP within the group when somebody failed to attend.
The Process
On an average, a group can be formed with 10 people to maximum of 40 people. You might have this question of how the Bible Listening Group happens. To give you an example, you can plan for a one-hour program. Each listening group should spend at least 20 minutes listening, allow another 20 minutes for discussion and questions from the group and later the leader can take 20 minutes to explain and to give a short exhortation from the passages, with that the meeting can be concluded with a word of prayer. When you are having discussion for 20 minutes, do make sure that you follow the Head, Heart, and Hands discussion method. The method works like this: The group leader asks questions that focus on those three areas.

The HEAD needs to know the facts of the passage, so that they can repeat it to friends or other people in the home without changing it or missing some important point.

The HEART needs to believe the story. So, the leader asks questions like, “What lesson are you taking away from this portion of scripture?” “What important thing did you discover about God from that?”

The HAND need to know what to do now they have heard the story. It is not enough to simply hear the scriptures, without acting upon what the scriptures teach us to do.

Man of Peace
The success or the failure of the Bible Listening Group program rests upon the listening group leader. The most effective group leaders are those that are Faithful, Available, and Teachable. Leaders must commit themself to fervent prayer for spiritual growth and protection of the group.
Reporting

The group leader must share collective feedback on how impactful the program is, how often they gather, how many hours in a week they listen to the scripture, testimonies, pray requests, photographs and videos can be filled in an excel sheet, which can be submitted through a google form. The Listening Group reporting form differs from the Family Through The Bible reporting. We expect 3 times reporting in 6 months period.

Rice Checking

When groups are doing well and the Lord is doing wonderful things among the people, you can always invite us to visit your field and to witness what the Lord is doing in those groups with my own eyes and to make an elaborate report.

Results

Bible listening can further inspire them closer to the Lord and bolder they will be in sharing their faith and growing in their faith. We always get to hear testimonies from the people who are part of the groups that they experience freedom from depression, suicidal thoughts, sinful habits, and they feel joy, peace in the family.

Remember, the purpose for FCBH Bible Listening Group program is threefold:

  • To hear the Word of God,
  • To know what the Word of God is teaching, and,
  • To do what I have learned from hearing the Word of God.

The greatest joy is to see people’s lives being transformed through the word of God and to be assured of Eternal life.
